Membership in NAMI Polk County is open to any person who is concerned for the welfare of persons with serious mental illness.  The local Polk County group consists of consumers (those diagnosed with mental illness), their family, friends and other concerned citizens.  We offer monthly meetings around Polk County that focus on education and support of consumers and their families.  Special educational events are planned throughout the year for the benefit of the general public.

Membership dues to NAMI Polk are $50 annually for a family member or $5 annually for a mental health consumer diagnosed with a mental illness.  First time members can join for $35 by using a credit card via the NAMI national website and selecting NAMI Polk County as the local affiliate- click here to join using credit card.

We encourage you to join us in the support and encouragement of consumers and families around Polk County.  We have an active organization and ample opportunities to become involved in advocacy, support and education.  Donations of all sizes are appreciated.
